Get Ready for the Viridian Daventry Triathlon

Whether it’s your first triathlon or your 20th, make sure you sign up for Daventry’s annual three-sport race.

The Viridian Daventry Triathlon, which is now in its seventh year, takes place on Sunday 9th September, and sees the 2018 event supporting Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice and Autism West Midlands charities.

Organised by Rugby Triathlon Club and sponsored by Viridian Nutrition, the ethical supplements company, and independent health food retailer Sheaf Street Health Store, the sprint race offers individuals and relay teams a triathlon challenge involving:

  • 400m pool swim in Daventry Leisure Centre
  • 20km bike leg through the Northamptonshire Countryside
  • 5km run around the scenic Daventry Country Park

Tom Welch, of Viridian Nutrition, said: “Once again, Viridian Nutrition is proud to support the Viridian Daventry Triathlon. This event, set against Daventry’s scenic countryside, is the ideal introduction into a first triathlon and for the more experienced triathlete seeking a challenge.

“There are many benefits of entering – it’s is a fantastic way to increase your fitness, improve wellbeing, boost confidence and raise money for two local charities Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice and Autism West Midlands.

The event is ideally suited for beginners and novices with the pool swim, flat run course and the fantastic support of Rugby Triathlon Club. The club members will be supporting everyone from start to finish ensuring that every entrant has an amazing day of competing.”

All entrants will receive a 100% cotton T-shirt, and an iconic medal made from recycled bicycle chain and sustainable bamboo will be available for all finishers, both produced by Viridian Nutrition. Age category prizes will be awarded.

Spaces are available for 335 competitors.
