We have over 90% repeat bookings from satisfied customers whose adverts bring them excellent response rates time and again. But don’t just take our word for it.

The only free publication that faithfully turns up on the door step every couple of months, this great magazine has long been my first port of call when looking for local businesses. I like the way it is set out in clearly marked sections, making for a speedy and successful search for so many services.
Feature articles and alerts for local events are always of current interest, as are the regular gardening and cookery items.  Superb little book!!!

I think it’s a really good thing to support local businesses. The Village Emporium is a perfect way to do this. It’s the first place I look if I need a local trade or service and  the only local advertising material I actually keep. When a new issue arrives I always flick through it to see what’s happening in the local area too. It’s a treasure trove of useful tips and information. Colourful presentation makes you want to pick it up and read.I’d miss it if it didn’t drop through my door! If you want to support local businesses then I’d certainly recommend you tell your friends and family about the Village Emporium.

"Thank you so much for the brilliant ad you placed in The Village Emporium on behalf of Daventry Choral Society. We have already received a great deal of interest for our concert and, as a result, have secured several bookings.

As always, the magazine is beautifully presented and well laid out. Fun and informative!

Thank you."

“Just received my latest Village Emporium Magazine , you are going from strength to strength.A great magazine with lots to interest, inform and advertise in the local area. Glad you mentioned Remembrance Day coming up and made a feature of it. Must be one of the best magazines of its type in the country..how about your team going for an award?

Onwards and upwards building on what the team have already achieved and best wishes for 2015.”

“I would like to say a massive thank you for all your help and expertise in placing our recent advert with you. Following the brilliant advert we have welcomed lots of new customers to our shop. This has been a massive success for us as being a new shop in Daventry it is important to raise awareness of where we are. Once again thank you for your friendly and helpful advice. We look forward to placing our next advert.”

“I have advertised my businesses, nicenstripy and Jumbo Jet, in a number of different publications in the past, but have found that consistently the best leads have been inspired by Village Emporium readers. My advertising is now mostly just with the Emporium, which has resulted in a much higher number of leads to advertising money spent! Apart from that, Ali and Clare are so friendly it is a pleasure to do business with them!”

A massive thank you to Alison and Clare and The Village Emporium for working with us on our Reader Competition.

It was the first time we have had Cricket Camp/holiday courses in the area and it is obvious from the response we received that the eye-catching page certainly caught the reader’s interest and imagination. As a result of the coverage in print and also online and via social media, we received great levels of interest and subsequent bookings from many local parents whose children attended our holiday courses. Plus an additional benefit has been it has noticeably enhanced and raised our club’s profile and awareness in the local area, which for a village cricket club is wonderful.

Many thanks again, and we hope to work with you again next year.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for offering to run the editorial on our company.  We have already had many customers through the door in the last week as a result of it.

I’m delighted with my editorial in the last issue of The Village Emporium. I had 2 calls within a day of the magazine going out and several more since. I am changing the venue for my classes so the editorial helped to explain to existing clients what was happening as well as attracting new clients. Karen took the time to really understand what I wanted to achieve before writing the feature.   I’ve advertised with The Village Emporium for a couple of years as it brings results but also they are a nice team, not at all pushy.

I am a local carpenter and joiner of 20 years. I had never advertised before, and as we receive the Emporium through our door, I like to support local businesses so I thought I would advertise with them. Over the last 2 years I have obtained many new clients, who have also generated business by word of mouth referrals but I would recommend an annual subscription as its less hassle and much more cost effective and Ali and Claire are very efficient and extremely helpful.

Kilsby Cattery has been advertising with the Village Emporium since we first opened in 2009.  We have been delighted with the response from our adverts and are proud to be associated with such a quality publication.  I can highly recommend advertising with the Emporium, it has certainly contributed to the success of our cattery.

We recently used an ad in both the Northants and Daventry Village Emporiums to promote a special pre-season sale weekend. We also sent a mail shot to existing customers, put up signs on the roadside and advertised in the local press.

The local press advertising and the signboards brought no one in. The new customers all came from our ads in the two Emporium magazines.

I paint for a living, particularly horses, dogs and other animals. I decided to advertise in The Emporium as I have always enjoyed receiving my copies through the years, and indeed used it myself to find local suppliers – it was the obvious choice for me. And I haven’t been disappointed. I’ve had so much response I have had to draw up a waiting list – I can’t paint fast enough!

It’s a formula that works well for us. Our main source of new business is referrals from satisfied customers, but the Emporium magazines are second along with internet search engines. Directories and other publications are way down the list.

We have been advertising in the Village Emporium for years and know for a fact that a large proportion of our enquiries come from there. We have an ongoing booking and wouldn’t dream of not advertising in The Emporium – we would have to be mad. It’s definitely a ‘must do’ in our marketing plan.

We hadn’t advertised for quite a while, but when we re-branded our Farm shop we knew it would be money wasted if we then didn’t make the most of it by advertising. We had always liked receiving the Emporium ourselves so decided to give it a try. Our ads looked great and we got loads of people coming into the shop saying they had seen it. We will definitely be advertising again as its good value for money.

After a poor response to flyers posted in schools, local youth centers and music shops, drum-teacher Maddie Hartley decided to try The Village Emporium. “The response to my advert was fantastic! I had no idea that there were so many potential drum students living between Rugby and Daventry.

Maddie now advertises in two editions of The Village Emporium to promote her business.
